Our client is at the forefront of ticketing innovation in the $1.2 trillion live events industry. Their mission is to build cutting-edge infrastructure that empowers artists and venues to extend the lifecycle of their tickets, capture resale revenue, combat fraud, and deepen fan engagement.

Backed by $5 million in funding from Techstars, Comcast, and a confidential investor (to be disclosed in March 2025), they are assembling a world-class engineering team to redefine ticketing for billions of users worldwide.

The Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer to take ownership of major components of their platform. This individual will work directly with the CTO to design and build a high-performing, scalable infrastructure from the ground up.

This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial engineer who thrives in ambiguity, is skilled at developing innovative solutions to complex problems, and enjoys taking products from concept (0) to production (1). With a high degree of autonomy, this engineer will have the ability to make impactful decisions and shape both the product and engineering team as the company scales.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of web applications using Node.js, React.js, and TypeScript.

• Collaborate with the CTO on architectural decisions, designing scalable, serverless infrastructure on AWS (DynamoDB, Lambda).

• Implement Solana blockchain-based smart contracts to support ticketing innovations, leveraging Rust for secure, high-performance execution.

• Develop and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) that integrate seamlessly with the ticketing ecosystem.

• Work closely with design and product teams to translate Figma prototypes into elegant, user-friendly interfaces.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, championing best practices and coding standards.

• Represent engineering in cross-functional discussions, contributing thought leadership and technical expertise to shape the product roadmap.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure a world-class user experience.

• Collaborate with venues across the United States, both remotely and on-site.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience developing scalable web applications using React.js and Node.js.

• Experience with smart contract development, particularly on Solana, using Rust or similar blockchain technologies.

• Strong background in designing scalable, maintainable, and resilient architectures.

• Expertise in serverless computing, particularly with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and related cloud-native technologies.

• A builder mentality, with a proven ability to take products from concept to production in fast-paced environments.

• Ability to work autonomously, make strategic decisions, and thrive in a high-growth startup.

• Previous experience working on live event or reservation platforms.

• A track record of shipping products that can be publicly explored.

• A personal or professional background in music, entertainment, or live events.
