Head of Institutional Sales
Institutional crypto lending
Our client is building an institutional digital asset lending and yield platform.
Your job is to grow the loan book and AUM by earning institutional trust.
You will originate secured credit, raise capital, and act as the firm’s external credibility layer.
If your edge is volume outreach or generic BD, this role will not fit.
What you will own
Institutional Lending
-
Originate secured loans with hedge funds, market makers, trading firms, and crypto-native companies.
-
Structure and negotiate terms: collateral, LTV, tenor, pricing.
-
Build and manage a multi-million-dollar loan pipeline.
-
Partner closely with Risk and Operations. You do not distribute what you cannot underwrite.
Capital Raising
-
Raise capital for yield strategies, managed portfolios, and structured products.
-
Onboard and manage relationships with family offices, funds, HNW allocators, and institutions.
-
Convert lending counterparties into long-term capital partners.
Relationship Ownership
-
Own senior-level institutional relationships.
-
Operate as a trusted counterparty, not a product pusher.
-
Represent the firm in closed-door investor meetings and private discussions.
Strategy & Build
-
Define the institutional go-to-market.
-
Shape products based on allocator demand, not internal preference.
-
Build CRM discipline, pipeline hygiene, and reporting from first principles.
Scale
-
Hire and mentor institutional sales managers as the platform grows.
-
Set standards, incentives, and culture.
Who this role is for
You likely have:
-
7+ years in institutional sales, capital raising, lending, or structured finance.
-
Experience in crypto lending, prime brokerage, hedge fund sales, or asset / wealth management.
-
A real track record of closing institutional tickets.
-
An existing institutional network that answers your calls.
-
Comfort discussing risk, collateral, drawdowns, and downside scenarios.
You think in balance sheets, not narratives.
Who this role is NOT for
-
Retail yield, DeFi marketing, or community growth profiles.
-
Conference-first BD with limited structuring depth.
-
Relationship sellers who cannot explain LTV, margining, or liquidation mechanics.
-
Anyone optimizing for title over accountability.
How success is measured
-
Growth and quality of the loan book.
-
Durability and repeatability of capital.
-
Strength of institutional relationships under stress.
-
Conversion from counterparties to long-term allocators.
Compensation
-
Competitive base salary - up to $300k base
-
Performance-linked bonus.
-
Revenue share on loan book and AUM.
-
Long-term upside aligned with platform growth.
Final note
This role carries real ownership and real exposure.
The upside is meaningful. The responsibility is non-negotiable.
If you are “transitioning into crypto,” this is not the role.
If you already operate at institutional depth and want to build something durable, it is.
