SEO & Content Lead (German)

About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing crypto startup accelerator supporting entrepreneurs with capital and hands-on operational expertise, is looking for an experienced and proactive SEO & Content Lead to take ownership of a content-driven website in the German-speaking market. This is a fully remote role with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in crypto, blockchain, or iGaming verticals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading SEO strategy, managing content production, and growing organic search traffic—while ensuring all content is tailored to the German market both linguistically and culturally. This is a high-impact role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is comfortable working autonomously, and can roll up their sleeves to drive performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of website content performance (SEO rankings, traffic, revenue)

• Develop and execute SEO and content strategies for the German market

• Manage editorial calendars and keyword-driven content plans

• Recruit, coordinate, and manage a freelance team of writers and translators

• Optimize both individual pages and site-wide architecture for organic performance

• Conduct content audits and identify technical and on-page improvements

• Report on KPIs, rankings, and content ROI

• Ensure all content aligns with the tone, quality, and compliance standards relevant to crypto or iGaming sectors

Requirements

• 4+ years in an SEO/content leadership role, ideally within crypto or iGaming

• Proven track record of growing websites through organic search

• Experience managing remote teams and content workflows

• Strong command of SEO tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Majestic, etc.)

• Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal oversight

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Fluency in German or deep understanding of German linguistic and cultural nuances

• Familiarity with the crypto/iGaming industries

Desirable Skills

• Background in affiliate marketing, especially in regulated or high-competition niches

• Fluency in written and spoken German

• Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or data analysis tools

• Up-to-date with the latest trends in SEO and content marketing
