Senior Full Stack Engineer
Web3 Identity Platform
Why This Role Matters
Our client is building a next-gen decentralized identity platform that blends biometrics, zero-knowledge cryptography, and blockchain to tackle one of the biggest issues of our time: proving you’re human in an increasingly AI-driven world.
With over 7 million users already onboarded, they’re creating privacy-first infrastructure for a future where digital trust is native, and users control their identity across Web3, social, and physical access layers — all while preserving anonymity.
This isn’t your typical full-stack gig. You’ll help architect the backend of a Sybil-resistant identity layer for the internet.
What You’ll Do
-
Design and scale distributed systems for 10M+ users, implementing zero-trust security and low-latency credential verification.
-
Build APIs and backend services that handle biometric data with zero-knowledge proofs — privacy-preserving by design.
-
Tackle challenges across the stack, from PostgreSQL optimization and event-driven architecture to seamless front-end delivery (React, React Native).
-
Collaborate on smart contract design for on-chain identity (Arbitrum / EVM-compatible chains).
-
Prototype rapidly, gather feedback, and iterate with a privacy-by-design philosophy.
Who You Are
-
5+ years of experience in full-stack or backend engineering — with a preference for TypeScript/Node.js and deep understanding of system design.
-
Passionate about privacy and security, especially when handling sensitive or biometric data.
-
Comfortable in high-ownership roles at early-stage startups — you turn big visions into stable architecture.
-
-
Zero-knowledge proofs, applied cryptography, or blockchain dev.
-
DevOps experience (AWS, Kubernetes, HashiCorp stack).
Bonus if you bring experience with:
-
The Stack
-
Backend: TypeScript, Node.js, Express
-
Infra: AWS, Docker, Nomad/Consul
-
Data: PostgreSQL, Kafka/Redis
-
Frontend: React, React Native, Swift/Kotlin
-
Web3: Smart contracts, Arbitrum, ZK libraries
How the Team Works
-
Remote-first and async-friendly
-
Outcome-driven, not hour-tracked
-
AI is used intentionally to accelerate workflows
-
-
First-principles thinking
-
Radical ownership
-
Designing for privacy and scale
