Our client is the leading core blockchain infrastructure developer building the foundation of decentralized Web 3.0. On their behalf we are now looking for top professionals to identify, build and manage relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders and expand the dynamic ecosystem. We are placing the following roles:

In the role of Contributor Relations Lead, you will use your interpersonal skills to build and manage relationships with important stakeholders in the ecosystem such as VC funds with portfolio companies building on our platform, large token holders and market intermediaries. Working closely with the Director of Contributor Relations you will also be responsible for the development and execution of a strategy which enables them to fully participate in the ecosystem (e.g. participate in parachain auctions, governance, etc.).

The ideal candidate will have both crypto/blockchain experience as well as a traditional finance background. Though a technology background is not required, the ideal candidate will have a strong technical affinity and the ability to both understand and communicate complex technical concepts simply and effectively.

This role is based in Berlin, Germany but remote could be an option too.

Responsibilities

As part of our Contributor Relations team you will…

  • Build and manage relationships with key token holders and VC funds with portfolio companies building on the platform
  • Build and manage relationships with other important stakeholders in the ecosystem such as market intermediaries
  • Leverage expert knowledge about such stakeholders to create and execute a strategy which enables them to fully participate in the ecosystem
  • Develop key narratives that serve to best educate important external stakeholders about the ecosystem
  • Advance key partnerships and technology required to support token holders

Requirements

  • Knowledge and practical experience in the blockchain/crypto space
  • Strong passion for and understanding of decentralized technologies
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience managing key relationships with important external stakeholders
  • Ability to identify, pursue and close valuable strategic partnerships.
  • Strong tech affinity and ability to speak confidently and accurately about blockchain technology to C-level executives
  • Traditional finance experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

A Plus

  • Previous work experience in a VC-funded tech start-up and/or a high-growth tech company
  • Strong existing relationships with key players in the blockchain/crypto space
  • Ability to present and speak in public to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in the due-diligence and negotiation of high-value strategic partnerships with significant commercial terms
  • Experience in driving alignment from key internal stakeholders to support strategic decisions

In Ecosystem Growth, you will use your skills to source, perform due diligence, and execute high-value strategic partnerships with start-ups considering developing with our technology stack. Working closely with the VP of Strategic Partnerships, you will be responsible for identifying use-cases, defining market segments, and performing outreach to increase platform adoption.

The ideal candidate will possess business skills to drive engagement and interact with entrepreneurs and executives. At the same time, they will have the technical acumen to work closely with software engineers and architects. Importantly, they will have experience in the negotiation of high-value partnerships with significant commercial terms.

We are hiring for an ‘ecosystem growth lead’ but might also consider more senior roles.

Responsibilities

As part of our Ecosystem Growth team, you will…

  • Source, due-diligence and execute high-value strategic partnerships with start-ups that are considering developing on our technology and other types of companies that could bring value to the ecosystem
  • Work closely with external technical teams on their product strategy, explaining the trade-offs of using our tech stack versus other technologies
  • Help to define and prioritize the use-cases and market segments that would most benefit our platform
  • Define and lead new initiatives within the Ecosystem Growth team to expand the reach of our platforms
  • Identify and approach prospective partners while effectively communicating our value proposition as it relates to their business
