Our Client

We’re partnering with a cutting-edge Web3 infrastructure startup that’s building the future of digital identity and data ownership. Their mission is to make decentralized identity interoperable, secure, and usable across chains, wallets, and applications — without compromising on user experience.

They’re backed by top-tier crypto investors and already integrated with major ecosystems. Now, they’re looking for a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the strategy, design, and evolution of their core systems and data architecture — and help them scale securely and intelligently.

🚀 Why this role matters:

As CIO, you’ll sit at the intersection of infrastructure, security, and product strategy. You’ll shape how the platform handles identity, data interoperability, and cross-chain communication at scale — all while ensuring performance, privacy, and compliance in an increasingly complex Web3 landscape.

This is a founding leadership role, perfect for someone who’s equally comfortable getting technical and thinking long-term. You’ll work closely with the CEO, CTO, and engineering leads to align systems architecture with business goals and future ecosystem integrations.

🧠 What you’ll be responsible for:

Defining and executing the company’s information and data architecture strategy
Leading the design and governance of systems that handle decentralized identity, cross-chain messaging, and privacy-preserving user data
Ensuring infrastructure scalability, performance, and security in a rapidly evolving multi-chain environment
Overseeing integrations with wallet providers, dApps, L1s/L2s, and enterprise partners
Building out internal systems for monitoring, reporting, compliance, and decision-making
Collaborating cross-functionally to align information systems with product vision and business goals
Hiring and managing a world-class InfoSec / data team as the company grows

🔍 What we’re looking for:

7+ years in senior technical leadership roles (CTO/CIO/VP Eng), ideally in fast-scaling startups
Strong background in data infrastructure, systems architecture, or enterprise-grade InfoSec
Deep understanding of crypto primitives, DID protocols, or decentralized storage systems is a major plus
Experience with multi-chain systems, cross-chain messaging, and wallet integrations a bonus
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate technical vision into business outcomes
Acting as a thought partner for the leadership team on all things data, security, and architecture — and being open to share your thinking through investor conversations, ecosystem AMAs, and community engagement when relevant
Comfortable working in a globally distributed team in a fast-moving industry
