Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Dealer/Chief Trader to lead our trading team at our cryptocurrency exchange. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge and experience in cryptocurrency markets, Web3 technologies, and blockchain ecosystems. This role requires a strategic thinker with a practical approach and the ability to innovate and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. The Chief Dealer/Chief Trader will be responsible for overseeing all trading activities, managing risk, and ensuring the profitability and efficiency of the trading operations. Additionally, as part of a startup, the candidate will play a critical role in building and refining processes, not just for control but to support the entire journey of our exchange from inception to success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Trading Strategy Development: Develop and implement trading strategies that leverage market trends, quantitative analysis, and technological advancements in the crypto space.
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trading opportunities and trends in cryptocurrency markets.
• Risk Management: Establish and maintain robust risk management protocols to mitigate trading risks and protect the exchange's assets in collaboration with Risk Division
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of traders, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Trading Operations: Oversee day-to-day trading operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Innovation and Optimization: Continuously explore and implement innovative trading tools, techniques, and technologies to optimize trading performance.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, counterparties, and regulatory bodies.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor trading performance, analyze trading metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Market Making: Manage market-making activities to ensure liquidity and stability of trading pairs on the exchange.
• Education and Training: Stay updated with the latest developments in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry and provide ongoing training to the trading team.
• Process Building: Develop and refine processes that support the growth and success of the exchange, ensuring they are effective and adaptable rather than purely for control.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in trading, with at least 3-5 years in cryptocurrency or digital assets trading.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, CFA) are a plus.

• Skills:
• Proven track record of successful trading and strategy implementation in crypto markets.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, Web3, DeFi, and related ecosystems.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in trading platforms, tools, and technologies.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
