Chief Product Strategist (Remote / Crypto Wallet & DeFi Ecosystem)
Location: Remote-first (90%+), EU travel 1–2x per year

Our client, a pioneer in blockchain interoperability and atomic swap technology, is seeking a Chief Product Strategist to lead the evolution of their advanced cross-chain wallet and DeFi ecosystem. This is a rare opportunity to take charge of a battle-tested platform powering direct peer-to-peer trading across dozens of blockchains — without intermediaries, wrapped tokens, or compromised security.

This role places you at the helm of one of the most ambitious decentralized finance infrastructures in the industry. You'll define and drive the product roadmap for a wallet/DEX/bridge application that already supports 99% of cryptocurrencies. Working with a world-class remote engineering team, you’ll shape how users interact with a multi-chain, borderless financial future.

🔧 The Stack & Tech

Our client’s technology stack includes:

  • Atomic Swap Engine: Enabling native Bitcoin-to-Ethereum swaps (and beyond) using HTLCs — without custodians or synthetic assets.

  • Cross-Chain Architecture: Connecting ecosystems like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos, and Solana via P2P decentralized order books.

  • Wallet: A non-custodial, cross-chain DEX + wallet available on desktop, mobile, and web — soon to support even more chains.

  • DeFi Framework (KDF): An open-source foundation enabling developers to build on top of the cross-chain core.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across wallet and DeFi products.

  • Conduct market/user/competitor research to identify key feature opportunities and user pain points.

  • Translate vision into product specs, user stories, and success metrics.

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and marketing to deliver exceptional experiences.

  • Run agile development processes with a globally distributed team.

  • Own product performance metrics: user growth, retention, transaction success, NPS, etc.

  • Balance decentralization ethos with evolving regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor competitive trends and emerging technologies in wallets, DEXs, and cross-chain infrastructure.

  • Potentially build and manage a lean cross-functional product, marketing, and support team.

✅ Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years in crypto or blockchain products.

  • Demonstrated success building and scaling consumer-facing crypto applications (wallets, DEXs, DeFi apps).

  • Deep knowledge of blockchain architectures, smart contracts, non-custodial systems, and DeFi mechanics.

  • Strong grasp of atomic swaps, HTLCs, cross-chain standards, and decentralized architecture.

  • Proven leadership in remote-first environments; effective stakeholder management.

  • Analytical, data-driven decision-making mindset with exceptional communication skills.

  • Degree in a technical or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.

🏆 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DEXs, multi-coin wallets, cross-chain protocols, or atomic swap technology.

  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., FATF, MiCA, Travel Rule).

  • Open-source contributor or community-driven development experience.

  • UX/UI intuition for complex technical products.

  • MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.

📊 How Success Is Measured

  • Monthly active users (MAU) and user retention rates.

  • Trading volume and number/value of cross-chain swaps.

  • Swap success rate and platform reliability (uptime, error rates).

  • Feature adoption and user satisfaction (NPS, feedback).

  • Revenue growth and market share in cross-chain trading.

  • Partner integrations and ecosystem expansion.
