Head of Community

SeniorCommunityRemoteFilled

Company Overview:

Join a pioneering team specializing in interoperable rollups secured by Bitcoin. The company is innovating within the blockchain space, focusing on building scalable, decentralized solutions and advancing cryptographic research to enhance the security and privacy of blockchain networks.

The Role

Head of Community will work closely with the BD, DevRel, and marketing teams to identify, engage and guide the groups of people that are excited about our vision for the project, our “community of communities,” and for crypto as a whole. We’re fortunate to have a burgeoning community from the past few months as major L1s and projects have brought their large communities into the fold, popped up on conferences, and grown our Twitter to 60k+ in three months…but we’re looking for someone to own community growth and nurturing it to catapult it in both size and global geographical locations.

We’re looking for a highly data driven, process-oriented and fun individual who is extremely crypto-native and possesses a strong knowledge of how crypto communities galvanize.

The ideal candidate will lead campaigns and initiatives to bolster community growth while developing programs to engage community contributors around education, content, memes, and everything in between. They will work closely with the commercial team to organize Discord events, TG chats, Twitter Spaces, coordination of moderators across different platforms, AMAs, Office Hours, and everything that touches the community and our integration communities.

The Head of Community will be a core pillar in guiding the growth, brand, and voice over the months to come as we rapidly progress towards a public launch. We view this role as the ultimate missionary over mercenary; the successful candidate should be one of the default names that comes to mind when someone thinks of company as the forward-facing everyday actor within the community.

  • You’re very crypto-native and possess a strong understanding of the current meta, running jokes, on-chain environment interactions, narratives, CT personalities, “bot-free” questing strategies, etc

  • You’re a Discord & Twitter & TG pro esp as it pertains to server management, bots, etc

  • You’ve previously organized ambassador or community engagement programs in the past

  • You have experience running and managing lead generation, nurture campaigns, optimizing campaigns and realizing meaningful conversion metrics and ROI

  • You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to distill information from the community and use it to inform the developer team, and business goals.

  • Collaborate with BD and marketing to develop initiatives for expanding the existing community with a focus on the visible community (Twitter, Discord, TG etc)

  • Be Terminally Online - always be active on Twitter, Discord, TG etc and keep the community fun and lighthearted, while informing them of any key updates and alpha leaks from the dev team

  • Develop incentivize structures, contests and programs for activating the existing community and encouraging the creation of desirable content for education, brand growth, and fun

  • Help guide the voice of the brand and community; espousing the core values from both a technical point of view and a vibe point of view; we want to build cool stuff and enjoy ourselves while doing it

  • We currently have Defiants on board as CMs, but you are welcome to replace them with CMs of your choice as needed as you scale the community management effort by hiring and engaging moderators across multiple geographies as the international community grows

  • Track growth in community oriented KPIs in a highly quantifiable and data driven manner

  • Communicate the needs of the community to the BD and Engineering teams on a regular basis

  • Become the expert on all leading trends and narratives in the space, and relay relevant info to the rest of the team
