Senior Backend Engineer / Cryptography

Role Overview:

We are looking for a strong coder skilled in Python and TypeScript who has a foundational understanding or experience in cryptography. This role will involve collaborating with blockchain developers and cryptography experts to build secure, efficient, and scalable solutions for decentralized applications. Your contributions will be crucial in supporting the integration of cryptographic systems and blockchain protocols.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain codebases in Python and TypeScript for blockchain-related projects.

• Collaborate with cryptography experts to integrate secure cryptographic protocols into decentralized systems.

• Assist in building and optimizing blockchain-related applications and tools.

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best software development practices.

• Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing systems with a focus on security and efficiency.

• Continuously stay up to date with new developments in cryptography and blockchain technologies.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including blockchain developers, product managers, and cryptographers.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience coding with Python and TypeScript.

• Familiarity or hands-on experience with cryptographic algorithms and protocols.

• A good understanding of software security principles.

• Experience working on large, complex codebases.

• Familiarity with blockchain technologies or decentralized applications is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

 

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with other programming languages like Rust or Solidity.

• Contributions to open-source projects in cryptography or blockchain.

• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.).
