Head of Quality Assurance

Our client are looking for an experienced Head of Quality Assurance who will be the head of multiple testing teams for applications/solutions built on the blockchain and for Quality Assurance over the entire software development life cycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

  • Continuously improve test automation coverage and increase robustness and reliability of automation frameworks. Automation is an overarching responsibility for this role.
  • Evangelize QA – first approach and champion quality improvements.
  • Hire, train, and supervise SQA staff. Manage team(s) of SQA engineers and leads, including people in remote and offshore locations.
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, stability studies, corrective actions, and re-validations.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 15+ years of work experience in the Software QA area supporting SDLC at scale.
  • 8+ years of team management experience (including hiring, performance management, leadership) for a team of at least ten members.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on skills of Test Automation tools and frameworks (10+ years)
  • Excellent understanding of SDLC, patching, releases, and software development at scale. Solid knowledge of applied Agile process
  • Continuous Integration and Delivery approaches - hands-on (at least ten years) experience in working with Test Automation in conjunction with CI / CD tools
  • Strong understanding of how test automation fits into the cloud-first approach
  • Experience in documenting and implementing formal QA processes that can stand up to regulatory / compliance audits. QA documentation experience within a Fintech domain will be a plus.
  • Experience working with DevOps on security audits, penetration testing, and following up to meet the requirements.
