Operations Director

We are looking for an experienced operator with a robust and well-rounded set of business skills, ready to dive in and add value to our portfolio companies and manage and optimize our firm operations. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty and work on the biggest challenges our portfolio companies face as well as the large-scale initiatives that will enable the company to continue to build its brand in the blockchain and crypto spaces. You bring organization and discipline to every aspect of your work, but are always willing to try out new approaches to add the most value possible. You not only have a passion for building early stage startups, but also bring a special interest in and knowledge of emerging business models and technologies in blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Responsibilities:

●  Engaging and supporting our portfolio companies in every way, shape, and form. This includes, but is not limited to: weekly KPI tracking, hiring / recruiting, developing early product roadmaps, fundraising, business development, and marketing / public relations

●  Leading all internal firm platform initiatives, including, but not limited to: building and managing the Company Experts network, facilitating cross-portfolio pollination through founder groups, creating quarterly network newsletters, spearheading firm content marketing, developing educational materials and best practices for our founders, negotiating discounts with service providers and vendors, and owning all internal firm operations

●  Launching and managing virtual and live events

●  Leading the development of all firm materials for Quarterly Limited Partner Updates, and presenting our platform value-add overview in those meetings and any other key interactions with our broader investor community

●  Developing  PR, marketing, and branding strategies across the country

●  Productizing the core offering of the platform to drive the growth of the firm and brand, building relationships within the startup / venture capital community, and ultimately driving the success of our portfolio

Requirements:

●  At least 3-5 years of experience in and around startups, especially in an operations, product, business development, or marketing role

●  Top tier networking skills with a history of making connections that can alter the trajectory of a startup

●  An ability to manage and prioritize several external and internal business lines at the same time with an extremely high level of organization

●  An ability to tackle and address a wide array of business challenges independently and autonomously without the need for step by step direction

●  Passion for building great companies and helping entrepreneurs win

●  A highly collaborative working style and team-player mentality

●  Demonstrated interest in, knowledge of, and passion for blockchain and crypto-currency

Nice to Haves:

●  MBA from a top-tier academic institution

●  Prior experience as a Director of Operations, Chief of Staff, or other Executive role at a venture backed startup

●  2+ years of management consulting experience
