Senior Vue.js Engineer

Our client serve some of the largest metaverse gaming guilds that aim to make a real difference through empowering and educating people around the world on blockchain gaming technology. 

The business is currently growing at a rapid pace, and we are exploring different ways to invest in the Play2Earn and Defi ecosystem to bring more opportunities to our community. The organization is headquartered in Singapore with other locations across Thailand, Malaysia and SEA. 

About the role 

They are looking for a developer who has experience working with frontend technologies such as VueJS who will work on the frontend code for websites that may work with web2 and web3. 

You will be developing the frontend side of the application, and designing the application logic. You will strive to achieve and maintain high performance and responsiveness, prioritizing the responsiveness of the web app to users and stakeholders in the team. 

While the back-end elements will be developed by your coworkers from another team, you will be responsible for their integration into the overall project. So you will work closely with the backend engineers to ensure that the web app is integrated well. 

Key Responsibilities 

Developing user-facing applications using Vue.js 

Building modular and reusable components and libraries 

Optimizing your application for performance 

Implementing automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows 

Staying up-to-date with all recent developments in the JavaScript and Vue.js space 

Keeping an eye on security updates and issues found with Vue.js and all project dependencies 

Proposing any upgrades and updates necessary for keeping up with modern security and development best practices 

Your Background 

• 5+ years of programming experience; 
• 3+ years of JavaScript, Node.js/VueJS/ReactJS experience; 
• Highly proficient with Javascript and modern ES6+ syntax; 
• Familiarity with Vue.js ecosystem such as Vue CLI, Vue Router, etc; 
• Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3; 
• Understanding of server-side rendering and its use cases; 
• Knowledge of functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms 
• Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code 
• Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, specifically testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha 
• Proficiency with modern development tools, like Babel, Webpack, and Git 
• Experience with both consuming and designing RESTful APIs 
• Experience with Docker; 
• Experience with web3 frameworks such as web3.js is a plus; 
• Understanding of asynchronous development and data security principles; 
• Self-motivation, goal-oriented approach; 
• Intermediate (or higher) English skills.
